May Book Round Up
Another month has come and gone, but I am still asking the same question, "How?!"
This year is just zipping by, I mean, it's already May. That means another month of book round ups!
May is full of sunshine, flowers, and water, and I have some great water books to share with your kids this month.
Water Books:
How to Hide an Octopus, Curious George Goes to the Beach, Ranger Rick: I wish I was an Orca, Splat the Cat: A Whale of a Tale, The Snail and the Whale, Jabari Jumps, Mayday Mouse.
Mayday Mouse was a Kindergarten favorite. A cute STEAM activity is to make boats! In my house we go through a lot of tinfoil and straws, but boy, is it fun!
Covering the gardening portion of May, I have rounded up a few adorable seasonal tales.
Garden Books:
Miss Maple's Seeds, Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt, Errol's Garden, In a Garden
Aahhh, and what would May be without bringing the excitement of the end of the year into our classrooms!
Any of these last day of school books would be a wonderful addition as you usher out all your Kindergarteners for the year.
Last Day of school books:
A Fine, Fine School, Lizzie and the Last Day of School, Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten, Last Day Blues, I wish You More, Do Not Take your Dragon to the Last Day of School
While the end of the year is bittersweet, you can still bid your students adieu with some lovely thoughtful books and fantastic memories.
Countdown until the end of the school is on! Make lesson planning easy on yourself and check out our Teachers Pay Teachers products for some print and pass out style planning!
